Businessman dies in speedboat collision

A businessman died in a collision of two speedboats near Feydhoo Finolhu Saturday evening.
Atoll Times understands that the deceased was Saudulla Ahmed, one of the directors at leading construction company, SAS e Construction.
An official from ADK Hospital confirmed to Atoll Times that he died around 6.15pm. The 53-year-old was in a critical condition when he was brought to the hospital and was being given CPR when he succumbed to his injuries, the official said.
Police said they received information about the incident around 4.42pm. However, the police are yet to provide any information such as the number of injured and who belonged to the launches.
Images of one of the ill-fated launches showed that it had been hit from the rear to the bottom.
