MDP vows to develop Senahiya, Hulhumale hospitals to tertiary standards

Hulhumale Hospital and Senahiya Military Hospital in Male will be developed to tertiary level, MDP and allied parties have included in their manifesto for the upcoming presidential election.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is campaigning for a second term in office. At a rally held at carnival area in Male, the 'Ufaaveri Male' manifesto, which includes what will be done for the Male region in the second term, was launched.
As part of the efforts to develop another tertiary hospital in the Male area, Hulhumale Hospital and Senehiya Hospital will be developed to tertiary level, while Villimale Hospital will also be modernised.
In addition, other key health and social sector pledges include:

Establishment of a facility for the treatment of the elderly in Villimale

Develop the beach areas to be accessible to people with disabilities, build beach huts and changing rooms and provide sports facilities
Government is already upgrading hospitals and health centres in the islands. A contract was awarded last week to develop G.Dh. Thinadhoo and H.Dh. Kulhudhiffushi Regional Hospitals to tertiary level.
