Two hundred Palestinian families affected by Israeli aggressive attacks have received USD 100,000 on behalf of the Maldivians.
Israeli attacks have killed more than 3,000 Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. More than 13,750 people are injured and more than a million displaced.
More than MVR 13 million has been donated by locals to the International Aid Campaign (IAC) fund opened on the 8th of this month. The IAC has been providing various assistance to Palestine with the money.
The association said many families are now asking for financial assistance. Therefore:
-
The money was distributed to 200 families
-
That’s USD 500 per family for a total of USD 100,000 (MVR. 1.5 million).
-
These include the families of some of the martyrs and those whose homes were completely destroyed
The IAC has previously provided essential items such as food and fuel.
An IAC warehouse that housed a large number of donations for the needy was also targeted by an Israeli attack. A large amount of food and clothing was destroyed in the attack.
