State Electric Company (STELCO)’s transformer near Maaveyo Mosque will be removed from the area.
The decision was taken to address the inconvenience caused by the transformer as it is a nuisance to the public.
Hussain Fahumy, who took over as STELCO Managing Director on Tuesday, visited the Maaveyo Mosque area and inspected the transformer.
The Managing Director of STELCO apologizes to the public for the inconvenience caused by the transformer and the MD has said that the transformer will be removed from the road before the end of this year.
The transformer in the Maaveyo Mosque area has been installed there for about six years.
