Road Development Corporation (RDC) has been entrusted with the task of paving the roads of N. Holhudhoo.
Planning ministry's director general Fathimath Shaana Farooq and RDC Managing Director Moosa Ali Manik signed the agreement at a ceremony held at the planning ministry Monday afternoon.

As part of the streetscaping project, water drainage systems and street lights will also be installed on the roads
The island council says the roads in Holhudhoo are big, but the condition is poor.
Council Vice President Mohamed Ali said the condition of roads worsens during the rainy season. He said that after heavy rains the roads flood easily and huge potholes open up, making the road extremely muddy.
"It is difficult for people to walk on the roads during the rainy season. Even riding a bike can be dangerous," Rilwan said.
He said he believed that paving would solve the problem.
