Bangladesh lifts suspension of on-arrival visas for Maldivians

The Bangladesh government has withdrawn its decision to temporarily suspend the issuance of on-arrival visas introduced in connection with the upcoming parliamentary elections.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the earlier measure, which advised travellers to obtain visas in advance, has been reversed. As a result, Maldivian nationals travelling to Bangladesh will continue to be eligible for on-arrival visas.

The ministry noted that Bangladesh remains a destination for a significant number of Maldivians, particularly those pursuing medical studies.
