Mohammad Asir Ismail, 31, who was reported missing at 9.30pm on February 4, is yet to be located and efforts are on to trace him, police said Monday.
In a message to the media, the police said:

Police has gone through CCTV camera footage from several parts of the city and parts of the airport to trace him

According to the footage, Asir was seen boarding a white taxi near Hulhumale Ferry Terminal on Boduthakurufaanu Magu in Male at around 7.20 pm on February 4

CCTV footage also shows Asir getting down from the taxi and entering the terminal after the taxi reached the airport

However, it is not clear from the investigation so far whether he had travelled abroad or to any other part of the country by air
According to the police, CCTV camera footage is being examined in Male and other parts of the airport to trace Asir. Efforts are on to trace him through police stations in the atolls as well, police said.
