Man dies in highway motorcycle-pickup collision
The motorcyclist was rushed to Tree Top Hospital where he was declared dead upon arrival
A man was killed when a motorcycle collided head-on with a pickup truck on the highway linking Male and Hulhumale Friday night.
In a message sent to the media late last night, the police said they received a report of the accident at around 12.04am on Saturday.

The motorcyclist was rushed to Tree Top Hospital in Hulhumale where he was declared dead upon arrival

The deceased was a 43-year-old Maldivian man
"The matter is being investigated by the police," the police message read.
There have been several fatal road accidents in the recent past. Most of these accidents took place in Hulhumale Phase II, while some accidents resulted in fatalities.
