The Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) has caught a large python snake on a street in the capital city Male.
A video of the soldiers catching the snake went viral on social media on Sunday evening. It shows that:

The snake is about five feet long

The snake is cornered against a wall and its head is caught by the soldiers using a special tool
The MNDF has not yet released any information about it.
It is understood the snake is now in the custody of the army.

The python is not a poisonous snake. However, they are a species known to grow enormous and known to kill by constriction and has a powerful bite.
